Happenings:
Welcome to halfway through 2022! I will be honest we just did not get the spring issue out as we have been running around crazy this year seeing all of you!
One of the newest things we have started doing is monthly product webinars. The webinars started in June with a general all-encompassing presentation and will be working through all our different manufacturers. If you have one specifically you would like to learn more about, please let us know. This is a great refresher for existing employees, and a great trainer for new employees as well.
New Additions to GPM
Since the last newsletter we have once again added new people to the team!
First off to help with our ever-growing accounts we added in Dee Stewart. She and Debbie are keeping the ship running by sending out the timely invoices for the pumps and valves. She is also helping with the research as we are adding new distributors to the mix.
Next is Jaden Richards. Jaden joins our inside sales team alongside Dan and Greg to support our customers. He will be working over the next few months to learn the GPM product lines to provide our customers with the best solutions to meet their needs. He will also be responsible for direct customer contact in all areas relating to inquiries, orders, order entry, pricing, delivery dates, etc. At GPM, we want to ensure that we continually grow to meet the growing needs of all our customers and Jaden is certainly a great addition to the team to help us do exactly that.
DP pump has shown us how a quality product can work against even the most established competitors this year. Something we have is that the new 40 series low NPSH is done, and they are now working on the 25 series as well. These items should both be readily available before the end of the year. The 60 series low NPSH impeller will be introduced in 2023.
We are almost out of the IEC motor mess from the beginning of the year and will be offering an additional 5% discount on any of our existing IEC motor pumps. If you need one, please request it and let us know that you want the discount.
There will be another revision to the price pages coming based on a price increase from Europe. These should be available before and implemented on August 1, 2022.
Everyone may have noticed that the HDL Ball Checks have started showing up in a red epoxy over the traditional blue in the past. This has been a manufacturing process change and will be the new standard. Nothing other than the pigment color has changed the epoxy is still the same stuff so the valve still maintains its AWWA listing.
PEMO will be our next product online seminar review. We are planning this for July 28th, and if you are interested, please contact your regional and he can get you the information for the Teams meeting. This event should be about one hour long and will cover the full PEMO product offering.
The GreenPumps line is always seeing new interest. This line has always been a strong competitor in the chemical industry, both as a circulation pump and as a transfer pump. The varied materials of construction as well as the variety of o-rings and gaskets available make it an easy fit for any application.
European Madness:
Every year about this time we try and warn everyone about the upcoming summer closure. Most of the European community takes a portion of August off, and never at the same time. This will slow down our responses to request for quotes, acknowledgments of PO’s and completion of orders as there will be few people there to get us the answers we need.
2022 Events:
Halfway through 2022 and we have finished the AHR that was in Las Vegas (was great to see so many of you), and we are preparing for the September ASPE show in Indianapolis. Our Regionals have been busy helping and attending the shows with you and while supplying pumps and valves. So far, I know there have been events in Florida, Arkansas, Minnesota, New York, Colorado, Utah, and many more. Let us know you when have an event coming up as we would be happy to attend and bring in equipment and literature to help you out.
Who is on Top?
Every year everyone asks how they are doing, who is the top, and GPM is going to be awarding their top ten distributors a plaque at the end of the year. Who is on top you ask? Well, here are the current top five, in no particular order:
• Pumps and Systems, Dearborn, MI
• Cardinal Pump-St. Louis, MO
• Hugh M. Cunningham, Carrolton, TX
• Texas Steam-Houston, TX
• James, Cooke, and Hobson, Phoenix, AZ.
The Future:
Right now, we are simply happy to be helping you and are looking forward to what the next quarter brings with the new distribution that we are adding. Out west we will soon be looking for an additional Regional Sales Manager for that territory.
We are all looking forward to continuing a great 2022.
